About Work Marg

Daily-wage work, on record

Work Marg connects the people who run sites with the people who work on them — and replaces the phone calls, notebooks and guesswork in between with one shared record of every requirement, day and payment.

Two
ways to get workers on site
One
record of every day and payment
Zero
commission taken from a worker's wages
Ten
days free for every new worker
Why it exists

The way labor is arranged today has no memory

Everything below is something that goes wrong when work is organised over WhatsApp groups and phone calls. Work Marg was built to give each of them a record.

01

Sourcing runs on phone calls

A site needs twenty helpers on Monday, so someone starts dialling. Nobody records who was asked, who said yes, or who never turned up.

02

Attendance lives on paper

A notebook at the gate is the only record of who worked. When the pay is argued over, the notebook is the whole case.

03

Good workers are invisible

A mason with nine years of clean work has no way to show it. The next job still depends on who happens to know them.

Verified workerDocuments checked by a person, not a script
Trust, done by hand

A badge means a person looked

A worker fills in their details and job roles, uploads both sides of their Aadhaar, and submits. An admin reviews the document and either approves it or sends back a reason the worker can act on. Until that badge is on, the worker is not listed, not matched to requirements and cannot be booked — so the vendor never has to wonder.

  • Aadhaar required, both sides; birth certificate, PAN and bank proof optional
  • A rejection carries the reason back to the worker
  • Ratings from every finished job sit beside the badge
What we stand for

Six rules the platform never bends

Each of these is enforced in the software, not written in a policy. They are the reason a vendor can trust a stranger on site and a worker can trust that the pay will arrive.

Verified before listedA worker uploads both sides of their Aadhaar and completes their profile; an admin checks it by hand. Only then are they listed, matched and bookable.
Money is held, then released as work is approvedThe vendor pays up front and Work Marg holds it. Wages reach the worker one approved day at a time, and whatever is unused comes back.
Contact details stay maskedPhone numbers, documents and bank details stay hidden until a booking is confirmed — enforced on the server, not just in the interface.
Every step is a recordRequirements, accepts, day requests, approvals, releases and refunds are all timestamped. Nothing has to be remembered.
Regions are data, not releasesStates, districts, job roles and fees are managed from the admin panel. Widening coverage is an afternoon's data entry, not a software change.
Workers keep their wagesNo commission is taken from a worker's pay. Workers hold a subscription — the first ten days are free — and every rupee released is theirs.
Who is on the platform

Three sides, one record

Vendors and workers meet on the platform; the platform itself keeps everyone honest. Nobody assigns labor by hand — workers accept work themselves.

Vendors

Contractors and site owners who need daily-wage workers. They raise requirements, browse the directory, approve each worked day and top up a wallet.

Register as Vendor

Workers

Helpers, masons, electricians, plumbers and more. They accept jobs in a tap, send their own offers in chat, request each day's pay and build a verified record.

The platform

Work Marg's admins verify documents, keep the master data current, set the two flat fees, and hold the money trail — with a backstop for disputes.

Talk to us

Work Marg is a mobile-responsive web platform — it works in the browser on any phone. Native apps, WhatsApp messaging and map-based search are later phases, and we would rather say so than promise them.
